The CASSINI Hackathons challenge hackers to develop innovative solutions using EU Space technology, data and services

The CASSINI Hackathons & Mentoring is the flagship action of the European Commission’s Competitive Space Start-ups for Innovation Initiative (CASSINI). Its goal is to stimulate the spur-of-the-moment development of innovative initiatives based on data and information from Copernicus satellite images and Galileo & EGNOS positioning signals.

Launching March 2021, this series of six hackathons is set to take place over the next three years tackling global challenges with European space technologies. Each hackathon will occur simultaneously across 10 different locations with a dedicated theme that looks to solve the critical problems faced by our planet, our society and industry today. The top 3 teams overall will receive a customised, 100-hour mentoring programme from industry experts. The first hackathon will take place 18-20 June 2021. The CASSINI Hackathons & Mentoring is an action of the European Commission and is jointly implemented by SpaceTec Partners and Verhaert Masters In Innovation.
